Ecuador wins Miss Earth 2011
Miss Ecuador, 23-year old Olga Alava, was crowned Miss Earth 2011 on December 3rd, during an event held at the University of the Philippines Theatre. Alava, who was crowned by last year’s winner Nicole Faria from India, is the first Miss Earth titleholder from her country.
Crowned Miss Air 2011 was Miss Brazil Driely Benenttone; Miss Water 2011 is Miss Philippines Athena Mae Imperial; and Miss Fire 2011 is Miss Venezuela, Caroline Medina.
Completing the top 8 were the contestants from Mexico, Crimea, Bosnia Herzegovina and Zimbabwe.
Among the top 16 semi finalists were beauties from Chinese Taipei, Sweden, Paraguay, Thailand, Portugal, Japan, Ukraine and Slovenia.
85 delegates competed in the 11th edition of the Miss Earth competition.
